     My personal review

 I decided it was time to get another pair of prescription glasses as I was having problems focusing on the compter screen. My reading glasses and distance glasses were not doing the job so I went for a pair of intermediates. I know I should get progressive lenses but I thought I would give the intermediates a go first.

The Purchase

For this purchase I chose Goggles4u Eyeglasses They have a good looking website and is easy to use. They price their frames and lenses seperate but this is on no concern. Most (if not all) of their frames are $US12.99 and you start by clicking on the “start here” icon on the Googles4U website. This takes you to their frames and they have pages and pages of them. You can search buy selecting half rim, full rim, fashion plastcic, rimless etc. When you find the right frame just click on “add lenses” and the next pages give you the choice of lens type. I chose Computer/Intermediate Vision. The next page takes you to the login page – yes, you need to register to use Goggles4U but this is easy and painless. The good part of this is that it keeps your prescription on file if you added it – makes the next purchase easy.

Now you are taken to the options section where you choose the lens material. I chose the standard CR-39 lens for $US17 with no tints or coating. The total for this purchase was $US29.99 and the best part is that packaging and shipping is free worldwide.

…and I got them

I received the glasses in about 11 days and they were packed unbelievably secure and were posted from Pakistan. The package was encased is a cotton bag stitched closed. Inside the bag was a styrofoam box holding the the glasses in their case. The case was in a plastic bag and inside the case the glasses were covered with cotton wool….. now that’s what I call packaging lol.

Was the Man Happy?

The case seemed to be of reasonable quality and the glasses frames and lenses seemed to be of good quality. The prescription was spot on. I have been wearing these glasses for about 2 weeks and I am very happy with this purchase. I am in Australia and the best part of this deal was the free shipping. I will deal with Gogles4U again and for this purchase I will give them 5 stars out of 5.
